    Hi everyone,
Does anyone know of a 24/7 style hotline/warmline that is specific to grief? We often have folks who are not having a mental health crisis but are in a state of grief distress and can benefit from being heard, normalizing the grief experience and offering containment. We are only open during standard business hours but often these needs happen at all times of the day/night and weekends. If anyone has found a similar resource that they can share I would appreciate it. Thanks!

I'm sorry, I have not heard of any, but that would be nice if there were some available.

www.hospicenews.com/2020/05/22/vitas-to-launch-covid-19-grief-helpline -- perhaps Robin Fiorelli can update us as to whether this is currently available through VITAS. www.covidgriefnetwork.org is specific for Young Adults grieving a covid death, don't know of any others but hoping someone does

    Hi Patti
This grief line is not longer in operation. You can all imagine the manpower needed to operate this. We offered it one full week last year in May when deaths were skyrocketing. We did get a great response- and from that grew our  Covid specific loss national Zoom groups.

    Hello,

I recently heard about the "Listening Line": - Listening Line | A Sacred Passing

Call 800-565-9731 to be listened to by a trained non-medical listener

or for text support, text "PEARL" to  (206) 278-2553 for offerings via text

My understanding is that this was started by a group of end of life doulas/midwives/workers. I'm not sure what hours it is open. Might be worth checking out.
