MyNHPCO Code of Conduct

Thank you for being part of NHPCO's professional online community, MyNHPCO. By joining the community and using the tools available, you agree that you have read and will follow the rules and guidelines set for the community.

Questions about MyNHPCO should be directed to NHPCO's Solutions Center, solutions@nhpco.org, 800-646-6460.

The Rules
The online discussions are meant to promote professional development and stimulate conversation, not to create contention, do not attack others. Represent yourself and your agency respectably. Defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive, or illegal material is strictly prohibited. NHPCO does not editorially control postings; however, NHPCO reserves the right to delete any messages that, in the sole discretion, are inappropriate for the group.

NHPCO does not regularly monitor any discussion group. Participants who suspect that unauthorized or illegal activity is occurring in a MyNHPCO forum should report such activity to NHPCO at solutions@nhpco.org. NHPCO will investigate complaints of possible policy violations and take action the organization believes appropriate, including, but not limited to issuing warnings, removing content and terminating accounts and/or subscriptions. However, because situations and interpretations vary, NHPCO also reserves the right to take no action.

Commercial Messages
Do not post commercial messages on MyNHPCO. The promotion of services and products may only be done through approved advertisements. This includes messages promoting entities that produce, market, resell, or distribute goods or services to hospice and palliative care providers and professionals. This includes, but is not limited to, promotion of products and services, business acquisitions, and education programs not affiliated with NHPCO or its Affiliate Organizations.

You may use MyNHPCO to seek advice of others regarding products and services, and it is acceptable to share your experience as a user and/or purchaser. However, if you are a vendor, we ask that you refrain from promoting your products/services on MyNHPCO. You may contact people directly with product and service information if you believe it would be helpful.

Use caution when reviewing or discussing products. Information posted on the community discussions is available for all to see, and comments are subject to libel, slander, and antitrust laws.

Discussion of fees is prohibited.

Job Openings/Opportunities
Job openings should be posted through the NHPCO Career Center, http://careers.nhpco.org. Please do not post job openings in the community discussions.

Surveys
NHPCO's policy is to have our Research Department review survey requests; please email survey requests to research@nhpco.org

Copyright
Do not post any information or other material protected by copyright without the permission of the copyright owner. By posting material, the posting party warrants and represents that it owns the copyright or has received permission from the copyright owner. In addition, the posting party grants NHPCO and users of the discussion group the non-exclusive right and license to display, copy, publish, distribute, transmit, print and use such information or other material.

NHPCO retains the right to reproduce postings to discussion groups.

Anti-Trust
Messages should not be posted if they encourage or facilitate members to arrive at any agreement that either expressly or impliedly leads to price fixing, a boycott of another's business, and/or other conduct intended to illegally restrict free trade. Messages that encourage and/or facilitate an agreement about the following subjects are inappropriate: prices, discounts, or terms or conditions of sale; salaries; profits, profit margins, or cost data; market shares, sales territories, or markets; allocation of customers or territories; or selection, rejection, or termination of customers or suppliers.
