In December's Bereavement Professional Community Chat we discussed how your Hospice agency can deliver school-based programming to the communities that you serve. Topics include the development of contracts, budgeting, referrals, scope of work, staffing/scheduling, curriculum, and ongoing support. Many of us already run grief support groups in the school setting and some of us are eager to start this service. All were welcome to join in on this chat to exchange information on ways to support bereaved students.
The chat was facilitated by MyNHPCO Bereavement Professional Community Steering Committee Member Melissa Lunardini, MA, MBA,Children's Bereavement Manager, The Elizabeth Hospice, Escondido, CA.Shared resource during chat:
A children's mindfulness book written by a school teacher.
