Title: Caring for Yourself so You can Care for Others  

Have your assignment for the day? Check. Have all of the supplies you need? Check. Settle a family dispute? Check. Drive through mud, dirt, rain, sleet….? Check.  Eat lunch in the car? Check   Say good-bye to the patient that you know will die this weekend?  Check.  Do something nice for yourself? OOPS!

In the midst of intense caregiving to our hospice patients and their caregivers, we often forget to care for ourselves. This self-care is essential to us being able to manage stress. We discussed some relaxing practices to help incorporate into your own daily practices.  This is especially important as we head into the Holiday Season.
