Hi Laura,
What I've found most helpful for far away families is to suggest they look for local hospices. As we all know, a hospice generally offers their own groups that are open to the public or they have lists of groups in the area. She might also check local senior centers, but the hospice option generally results in the best info when families have needed a group elsewhere in the country!

Subject: in person support in San Diego area
A family member who live in San Diego, CA is wanting to find in person grief support and not having much luck. A christian framework does not fit her belief system so griefshare isn't a good fit. She works from home and is new to the area so she'd prefer in-person as a way to get out and connect with others face to face.
Is there anyone in this group who happens to know of in person groups she may be able to access?
Much appreciation in advance.
