During this "Women's History Month" we, as grief professionals, would like to honor Elisabeth Kubler-Ross (1926-2004).  She was an incredible psychiatrist, author and researcher of death and grief.  She developed the "5 Stages of Grief" as it relates to a person who is diagnosed with a terminal illness.  Many people have mistakenly transformed this into orderly stages of grief experienced after a loss, which was not her intention.  Her friend and fellow grief professional David Kessler has continued to carry on her work, honoring her contributions to the world of death, loss and grief.  She was inducted into the National Women's Hall of Fame in 2007 as one of the "100 most important thinkers of the 20th century".  We thank her for how her work has impacted ours!
