We have s group that meets once a month for seniors. We created a walking list of anyone who is interested although we have yet to walk! I love these ideas!

Hello Katie,
Years ago we offered a group called "Comfort in Motion" at a local Assisted Living Facility. It was an idea we got from Victoria Hospice in BC.
Walking Through Grief Support Group - Victoria Hospice We offered it to our community and the ALF offered a place for refreshments after the walk. We did 3 laps around their facility. It was a huge success. It was perfect for those who wanted to be active and supported beyond the sitting support group. We had to end it due to staff shortages. I highly recommend it. Good Luck
| The Walking Through Grief Support Group is an eight-week, registered walking support group, open to all adults in the Greater Victoria community who are bereaved after the death of someone important in their life. victoriahospice.org |

Hi Everyone! I am a bereavement coordinator with a local hospice in Grand Rapids, MI. My colleague and I are interested in creating a walking group during the Summer months and early Fall. Our hope is that this would be a guided experience where we could offer a change in environment and create connection with others that are on a similar journey. I've tried to do some research that might help with the structure to offer a meaningful experience, but wondered if anyone has any helpful resources/tools or feedback if you've created something similar. Thank you in advance, and as always appreciate the opportunity to connect with so many wonderful professionals!
