Bethesda, MD: Grief Support Resources for Adults & Children

  • 1.  Bethesda, MD: Grief Support Resources for Adults & Children

    Posted 05-08-2023 11:41 AM

    Greetings,
I have a family moving from CT to Bethesda, MD.  I am looking for in-person grief resources in the Bethesda area. Kids are ages 3 & 9, they would benefit from a kid's camp or other program.  Mother is also looking for in person grief resources for herself.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Debbie,

My organization, CaringMatters, is located in Gaithersburg, not far from Bethesda. We have a number of programs to support children including our camp for bereaved children (coming up in a couple of weeks) and in-school "support groups" called Good Grief Clubs which we have in place in schools all across Montgomery Co., Maryland including Bethesda.  You can learn more about the services we provide here: https://www.caringmatters.org/children-s-grief-support if you would like additional information, I can put you in contact with my colleague who is over our Children's Bereavement Department.

We currently have several active bereavement support groups for adults; however, we are in the process of re-establishing in-person groups, as they are all currently still virtual. Feel free to reach out to me if you would like more information!
Free weekend grief camp, clubs and resources to help children grieving the loss of a loved one in Montgomery County, MD.
