Hi Kate, welcome to your new role. Our process is to screen by interviewing. Once a person expresses an interest in the group, we meet with them on a phone call to hear their story and determine appropriateness for any of our groups. So we do rely on professional judgement however with some criteria that would make a person probably not appropriate based on the group they are interested in. However, I know there are hospices who may utilize more formal screening tools. Please let us know what you find out.

Hello all,
 I've recently joined Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley as the Bereavement Coordinator and am working to tidy up some of the programming. I'm wondering if anyone has screening tools they would be willing to share with me. I want to ensure that community bereavement clients and support group members are appropriate for the level of care and support we are able to provide; pre-screening them will help immensely.

 I'm looking for:
