Hello fellow bereavement professionals.  We're looking at sending our yearly holiday/winter mailing, but want to recognize that this upcoming holiday season will be VERY different due to COVID, and many of the traditional ways to gather at the holidays will not be possible for many.  We'd like to give our folks some tips for coping and maybe ideas for creating new ways to celebrate or honor the holidays while grieving and dealing with COVID.  Are any of you aware of any resources that might be helpful?  Or have ideas of your own we could share?

Thank you for any thoughts and may you be well in coping with this heavy season of grief we attempt to help others bear...

Lori we re offering two ZOOM events-one the week before Thanksgiving and one in the middle of December- it will center on 4 candles that we will light throughout. One of our staff will have a background of a fireplace as she tells a story... we will flash names on a screen- we have an "open" time at the end for people to share. For those that register, we will send out Tips on the Holidays and these holidays in particular. Will be curious how others answer your questions about ideas for this year's Holiday season.

Like all our other loss specific and previous 'drop in' groups, we have converted all to being virtual. Typically we hold weekly holiday support groups from the week before Thanksgiving and on throughout December, each one with a different theme. We are still doing them, they will just be virtual instead of face to face.
