Hello Sara,
We offer a couple of holiday sessions for adults, one in November, and one in December. We provide opportunities for participants to talk about what is most difficult for them as they consider facing the holidays in the midst of their grief - and then share ideas related to how to cope with stress. We also talk about the importance of giving oneself permission to do things differently and to feel okay about skipping some holiday traditions altogether. We brainstorm ways of memorializing our loved ones during the holiday season, encouraging them to talk openly about their loss with others during family gatherings. We don’t use any videos, but prefer more of an open discussion format. These groups have been well attended and we have gotten some excellent feedback from participants.
This year, we are also offering a special one-time session for children/teens and their caregivers, where we will make memorial ornaments in honor of their loved one. We are hoping for a good turnout for this. I hope this is helpful.

We offer something weekly between Thanksgiving and New Year's and one of those sessions is always open to families – adults as well as children or teens and we make memory boxes.
