In these days of concerns over decreasing hospice census, funds being taken back by Medicare, and bereavement being an un-reimbursed service, etc., we're exploring changing our model of how we provide bereavement care to lessen the number of one-on-one counseling sessions and to increase community outreach, education and support groups.

Do any of you limit the number of sessions a client may receive? And what number do you limit it to? Does your agency do grief therapy as well as grief counseling, or do you refer clients out who have complicated grief issues?
