We have no formal limit regarding number of visits, it's more of a case by case judgement call. If it is complicated grief due to substance abuse, extreme mental health issues or other serious issue, I refer as appropriate. My general rule is that if a person is requiring more than 1-2 sessions a month, a referral might be necessary. I am pretty clear in my role that I don't provide therapy but counseling/education related to their loss. Hope that makes sense. Seeing as auditors want to see that visits are at least offered, moving away from 1:1 visits might be a compliance issue? I do like that increased presence in the community and I hope you are able to find a happy balance : )
