Summer 2019 Grassroots Webinar Series

Join us for the Summer 2019 Grassroots Webinar Series!

Join the Hospice Action Network and representatives from leading grassroots organizations on a three-part webinar series intended to help you kick-start a grassroots program, become a more informed and effective advocate, and prepare your program to participate in Virtual Hill Week on September 9-13. Our first webinar is entitled “Building a Grassroots Employee Engagement Program” and will feature Laura Ness from BAYADA Home Health Care on how they built their first-class grassroots engagement program, and how they use it to empower employees and effect positive change for our community. It will also feature Nick DeSarno from the Public Affairs Council, who will discuss tips, tricks and best practices for creating your own grassroots engagement program. The second webinar on August 21, at 3:30 will feature professional lobbyists discussing specific legislative priorities, including the Rural Access to Hospice Act. Our third and final webinar is entitled “Preparing for Virtual Hill Week” and is designed to help explain how Virtual Hill Week Works, how your program can be involved, the issues we will be asking Congress about, and tips and strategies for being a more effective advocate.  Webinars will be held as follows:
