We are being told by our hospital that if a pt presents to the ED without making hospice aware and it is non related to terminal dx, that if we admit then to a respite bed that they cannot break the ED and hospice admit apart? meaning they want to hold us resp for the ED visit?

Hi all, and happy New Year,
I had a question from one of the SW's that I am hoping someone can clarify. She asks:
I beleive that at one time, there was a rule that one had to convene with one core team member prior to the start of care and the other core team members within 48 hours. I can not find the info on the 48 hours and wondered if it is still a rule.

When I Died

The winning entries have been announced for the NHPCO 2011 Creative Arts Contest. This was formerly known as the Photo/Writing Contest. While we don't have the writing categories any longer, we do have categories for organizational Facebook page and social media videos. There were wonderful submissions that demonstrated the compassion and caring of hospice and palliative care.
