September 2019 Bereavement Professional Community Chat

Many bereaved wonder if they should go to a support group. We hear comments such as I don’t want to be around a bunch of sad people or I can handle this by myself. Once there, they are often relieved to find comfort and support from others with similar experiences. Join us for this chat to review the benefits of support groups, the basics of providing groups, what to do in groups and alternative options to traditional groups.

The chat will be facilitated by MYNHPCO Bereavement Professional Community Leader Diane Snyder Cowan, MA, MT-BC, CHPCA, Director of Bereavement Center, Hospice of the Western Reserve, Inc in Cleveland, OH.

Closed Captioning is available. To request Closed Captioning, contact NHPCO’s Member Solutions Center at or 800-646-6460 at least 5 business days before the chat. There is no additional cost for Closed Captioning, but NHPCO must receive your request at least 5 business days in advance of the MyNHPCO Professional Community Chat.
